Mr. Britton
is a 1974 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He
graduated as a member of Order of the Coif and was the Research Editor for
the Oklahoma Law Review. He is admitted to practice in the State of
Oklahoma, the United States Western, Eastern and Northern Districts of
Oklahoma and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
His practice is concentrated in the areas of Banking Law, Real Estate,
Corporate and Business Law.
Mr. Britton is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association
and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. He has served on the Ethics
Committee several times and was Law Day Chairman of the Oklahoma County
Bar and was Chairman of the Uniform Laws Committee for the Oklahoma Bar,
as well as has served on the Ethics Committee. He is also a member of
the Legislative Review Committee of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
Believing it important to be an active member of the
community, Mr. Britton serves as a volunteer with the Oklahoma Lawyers for
Children, representing children where parental rights are being
terminated. Mr. Britton was also Chairman of the Board of the Peaceful
Mission/A.C.T.I.O.N. Center, Inc. He was Treasurer and a Trustee of the
Endowment Trust for the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library System. He
served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and Children’s Summer
Reading Program Campaign for the Endowment. Mr. Britton is a reading
tutor for the Education and Employment Ministry and the Literacy Counsel.
He was a member of the VIP Panel of the Easter Seal Society and is a
special Member of Anchor International Exchange Foundation. Mr. Britton
also served on the Board of Directors of Capmark Bank for a number of
years.
Mr. Britton is listed in Who’s Who in American Law and
the International Directory of Who’s Who, and the National Registry of
Who’s Who and is listed on the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.
