Since 1973, Mr. DeSpain has provided representation to numerous banks and other financial institutions in commercial lending and regulatory matters, and to public and privately held companies and individuals in diverse corporate, transactional, commercial real estate and financial matters. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of a number of clients, including a title insurance and trust company, a medical products company, a medical facilities development and management company, and Chairman of the Board of a national bank. In Law School, Mr. DeSpain served as Topic Editor of The Oklahoma Law Review, and was elected to The Order of the Coif his senior year. In 2008, Mr. DeSpain received the Leadership in Law Award presented by The Journal Record Publishing Co. and the Oklahoma County Bar Association.
