Mr. Ogden is an attorney with the Oklahoma City law firm of Mulinix Ogden Hall Andrews & Ludlam and serves as Vice President and Director of the nineteen member firm. Richard Ogden's practice focuses in Business and Commercial Litigation, Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Litigation, Securities Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation and Municipal Zoning and Permitting. Mr. Ogden is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Oklahoma. Mr. Ogden is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Richard Ogden was born in Guymon Oklahoma in 1963, where he attended high school before proceeding to Oklahoma State University. In 1986, he obtained his bachelors degree at Oklahoma State University in political science. While attending Oklahoma State University, Richard served in student government in various capacities including Chief Justice of both the Student Government Association Supreme Court and the Residence Hall Association Supreme Court. Prior to attending law school at the University of Oklahoma, Richard served in Washington, D.C. as a summer intern for then United States Senator David L. Boren. During law school at the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Ogden again served in student government in various leadership roles including President of the Student Bar Association (the law school student body) and served as a student Senator for the entire campus. While at the University of Oklahoma, Richard also attended Oxford University, Queens College, in the United Kingdom where he studied British and European Community law. Mr. Ogden graduated law school in 1989. Following law school, Mr. Ogden started his practice in Oklahoma City as a litigator. Richard became active in the local and state bar associations. Mr. Ogden served in many leadership roles in these organizations, including President of the Young Lawyers Division of the Oklahoma Bar Association. The Young Lawyers Division of the state bar has some six thousand members. In this capacity, Mr. Ogden served on the Oklahoma Bar Association Board of Governors and also server two years as one of the five state delegates to the American Bar Association general assembly. Mr. Ogden also served as President of the Oklahoma County Bar Association Young Lawyer Division and served two years on the Oklahoma County Bar Board of Directors. Mr. Ogden was also active in the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division where he served in many capacities, including as a member of the cabinet as Communications Director for the one hundred and thirty thousand member organization. Presently, Mr. Ogden serves on a numerous community boards. Richard Ogden is a Master in the Robert J. Turner Inn of Court. Ogden is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association Diversity Committee and Law Related Education Committee. Richard Ogden is a Fellow of the Oklahoma Bar Association. Mr. Ogden is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Federal Bar Association and has attended and graduated from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. Richard Ogden is active in Saint Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral and severs as an usher and on the Vestry 2004-2006. Richard has also worked for many years in the fight against HIV and AIDS and has severed as President the AIDS Support Program, Inc. (the Winds House) both in 1999 and 2004. The Winds House provides housing and assistance for people living with HIV and AIDS. Mr. Ogden received several community awards including Outstanding Young Lawyer for the state of Oklahoma in 1997 and Outstanding Young Lawyer for Oklahoma County in 1993. There is only one recipient for each of these awards annually.
